Pics from Monday's show

A great big shout out to those of you who supported the show & joined us at the high school Monday night. It was definitely a rocking show! Some of you expressed disappointment that we had to move inside and believe me - we were very bummed about that as well. But we start setting up in the early afternoon so if the weather is bad form about noon on - we really have no choice. A lot of work & care goes into setting up the sound by Mike at Ace Audio so the shows sound as amazing as they do and the team over at public works help set up the stage & tent. So... it is always a thoughtful decision to move inside and one not made lightly. That being said - it was still a great show & thanks for your continued support - inside or down by the river!

It may be raining but we still have a show!

Unfortunately we had to move the show tonight to the Nathan Hale Ray High School auditorium. (We actually start setting up the sound & stage around 2:00pm and could not count on good weather.) But don't let that stop you - Great Escape will still be playing & the auditorium will be rocking with that 80's fabulous sound starting at 6:30pm.
So don't change your plans on going to the show - just meet us at the gym!

22 days and Counting!

Wow - it seems like the spring has flown by and now it's almost summer. Only 22 days until our first show and we can't wait. Donations are coming in from all over the area and we thank you for that. Historically, our first corporate sponsor is always Liberty Bank and they once again chipped in; a very big thank you!!

Our first performer is well known in the area. Jonathan Edwards is magical in his musicianship and story telling ability. We are in for a real treat. A quote from the Martha's Vineyard Times says it all "An Edwards performance is an unforgettable roller-coaster ride which combines his remarkable singing, storytelling and wit." He sold out The Kate in Old Saybrook in January so make sure you get to the Goodspeed Green early on July 12th. And if you still don't believe me - check out this You Tube clip and I promise you'll be convinced!

Enjoy your June and we'll see you down by the river in 22 days!

We have our schedule!

The music selection committee has been hard at work listening to CD's, looking up bands on YouTube and myspace and setting up what we think is a very entertaining line up. The committee wants to build on MOR's reputation of being a premier "gig" in Connecticut. The wonderful support from you and the beautiful location help make our concert series a favorite with many entertainers. So - it was hard to narrow it down to 6 acts but here is the list of performers. Over the course of the next several weeks we'll provide detailed information on each band. We are very excited about the line - up and know you'll really enjoy each of these fine performers.

July 12th - Jonathan Edwards - folk performer.
July 19th - Great Escape - a Journey tribute band.
July 26th - Maestro's Men - polka madness!
August 2nd - Tom Chapin - folk & family entertainment.
August 9th - Red Stone Ridge - bluegrass.
August 16th - Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez - blues & rock & roll.
